My work as an artist explores the boundaries between raw elemental materials, natural dynamics, sound technology and composition, this work is contextulised within my interventions within landscape and architecture.
Using a wide range of artistic skills I have been developing projects, including the construction of sound sculptures, audio visual installations, architectural constructions and the artistic direction of large-scale performance projects.
I am constantly expanding my areas of practice varying its scale, context and conception. All of my work is public facing, through its interaction with audiences and collaboration with fellow artists and producers.
I am constantly inspired and fed by the natural world around me, using observation, empathy, experience and inquiry for the creation of new work. This work takes on many forms as I respond to a diverse range of briefs and areas of personal enquiry.
Working from my studio base of Penrallt in the the Dyfi valley West Wales my practice as an artist is inistricably linked to the surrounding landscape which feeds and inspires me. The land that I live and work on at Penrallt, as well as forming the background to all my practice , I regard as my largest and most long term project to date, acting as a constantly evolving laboratory for inspiration and experimentation with the living world.
